1 - Research & Discovery

Overview:

This is the most important aspect of our whole design process, where we develop a holistic overview of our client's brand, goals, industry, and competitors. We work closely with the client to gain an in-depth understanding of their company in order to deliver a custom solution that works.

Objectives:

  • Acquire an in-depth understanding of clients products and/or services
  • Understand the client's target audience and reach
  • Research the competition present within the industry to see what works and what doesn't
  • Understand the clients present and future goals
  • Document client's design preferences in terms of color, typography, message, etc.

  • Brand guidelines document

2 - Design Stage

Overview:

Moving through our iterative design process, we provide our clients a high-fidelity wireframe design of their new website. The purpose of this phase is to provide a pixel-perfect look and feel of the website before a single line of code is written to eradicate any surprises during development.

Objectives:

  • Design website based on website sitemap created
  • Design all pages and elements with UI/UX principles in mind to maximize conversion
  • Design desktop and mobile versions of the website
  • Stay consistent with new or existing brand guidelines
  • Acquire all needed copy and assets for the website

Deliverables:

  • Desktop & mobile high-fidelity wireframes of the entire website.
  • A working prototype of all pages if agreed upon

This process generally takes 2-3 weeks to complete

3 - Development

Overview:

In the development stage, we start to develop the client's new website based on the approved wireframe design. The website is optimized for technical SEO from day one by being fully responsive, fast, and containing proper internal linking and naming structures.

Objectives:

  • Develop each page with pixel-perfect accuracy to approved wireframe design
  • Meet all functionality requirements agreed upon
  • Complete proper testing of website and internal features
  • Ensure the website is properly optimized from a technical SEO standpoint

Deliverables:

  • Access to view website on Cierio in-house server.

4 - Deployment & Analytics

Overview:

Upon completion of development the final website is migrated to the clients hosting environment. Upon deployment user analytics tracking is set up to provide data for future marketing campaigns.

Objectives:

  • Migrate & deploy completed website to clients environment
  • Configure google analytics
  • Configure facebook pixel

FAQ

There is no one single answer to this question as each website design is quoted on the needs of each individual project. Unlike many other design agencies we do not use templates and build all of our websites from scratch with a custom design tailored to your business. Our website design services should not be viewed as just another business expense but an investment and sales tool that should earn you money in the long run.

With that being said, the majority of our sites are between the $3,000 - $10,000 price range but can be more or less depending on the exact project requirements. We will ask questions, assess your needs, and provide a proposal with a quote based on our assessment.

We split all of our projects into two simple payments, each totaling 50% of the quoted project price. The first payment is to be paid prior to the start of the project and is non-refundable. We require this initial deposit prior to starting the project to ensure that both parties are committed to the project.

The second payment is to be paid prior to us migrating your website to your hosting server. It is very likely that your website will not be fully complete (form setup, user-analytics tracking, domain-specific functionalities, etc..) upon migration. However, in order to migrate and complete the last tasks we must receive full project payment. If any additional costs were incurred over the duration of the project they will be paid with the second (50% of original quoted price) payment.

Our website builds approximately take 6-12 weeks to complete from start to finish. There are a couple factors that play a role in the timeline for the project such as the number of pages required, complex functionality, and how long our client takes to provide us with necessary information.

Our process relies not just on our development team but on our clients as well. We cannot complete your website without receiving text and images from you as well as feedback on our deliverables. The faster you provide us with what we ask for the faster the process will be.

Not at all! We have no physical location ourselves as Cierio is completely remote with team members residing in North America, Europe, and Asia. This allows us to source the best global talent as well as work with clients all over the world. This also means that you only pay for items related to your project instead of an office lease, fancy furniture, and coffee machines.

Once the project is paid in full, we migrate your website to your hosting server and you have full control & ownership of it. However we are proud of our work and reserve the right to place a discrete design credit link in the bottom of your website footer.

Usually, the client provides the content for the site. At the end of the day, you are the expert on the in’s and out’s of your business and the text should come from you. In the event that you need help or are unable to provide us with the content for your website, we can discuss an additional fee for having us create the content.

No. We do not purchase any assets or third party content/plugins for our clients. We strictly handle the designing and development of your website. If your project requires any third party services such as stock photography, or third party plugins the cost of those items will be your responsibility.

We most certainly can and highly recommend it! This will save you time and let you focus on running your business. Maintenance plans are however a separate service and are charged on a monthly basis.

We do not develop our custom websites using a Content Management System (CMS) like WordPress. So for the majority of our builds, if you are not familiar with basic HTML/CSS you will most likely not be able to update site content.

All of our website builds are optimized from day one for technical SEO, by having clean and fast code that provides users with the best experience possible. This also ensures that search engines can easily read and rank your website. For some businesses this is enough to reach your desired search rank but for others, additional SEO work like content optimization may be required, which at this point in time we do not offer.

If you already have a website that's great! It can greatly assist us in the designing process as we will have something to go off of. It also means that while we are developing your new website you will still have a place for your visitors to visit. Once development is done we will swap the two out and you will be ready to go!

Most of our communication throughout the website build will be through email or a voice and screen share service like Google Meets. We do not communicate by phone, and solely over the internet as this ensure that you get the best service possible.
